Mafia: Team Fortress 2!

The engineer had just put the finishing touches on his new dispenser, ready to distribute health, ammunition, and general well-being to his fellow teammates. Nodding to himself with the satisfaction with a job well-done, he caught furtive movement out of the corner of his eye; his sentry gun was spinning out of control, a strange electro-magnetic device attached! Before the poor engineer could raise the alarm, however, he felt a cold switchblade from behind. "Engineer down!" was all he could gasp as he fell to the floor, lifeless.

Col. Jim Goldleaf, Town-Aligned Engineer, was killed in the preamble!

Some minutes later, an impromptu funeral was held. Kind words were spoken, flowers were lain, and even the blue team sent over a letter signaling that they would cease hostilities for the time being, in Col. Jim's honor, but in every eye burned the fires of revenge -- no friend had done this deed, it had to be blue trickery, using their accursed spies! As the red team collectively turned toward their own spy, either for explanation or confirmation of their fears, the true horror of the day dawned on them -- their own spy lay face-down in the dirt, not ten feet from them, a blade protruding from his spine!

Sammy "José Hãgar" McGrubin, Town-Aligned Spy, was killed in the preamble!

Team Red knew what it had to do -- none of them could wait and sit by, allowing those dirty spies the opportunity they craved! It was up to them to take care of business, and to root out the spies one by one until their base was again safe! After a second, even more grim, funeral, the team looked from teammate to teammate with suspicion, never forgetting to keep an eye for movement in the Blue base.

Welcome everyone to Lshoan Harah's newest Mafia game! In this game, designed for 5-15 players, everyone will be given a role in the vein of the wildly popular Valve game, Team Fortress 2! Don't worry, no knowledge of the game is required to play, but it can add to the mood. The rules for this game are very simple, and are outlined in broad strokes below. If you are interested in playing, make sure to sign up in the Mafia discussion thread!

Simple Rules for the game of Mafia:
• Town-Aligned (Red) players are not allowed to talk about this game outside of this thread!
• Mafia-Aligned (Blue) players can chat however they want, whenever they want!
• Each 'day' someone is killed when more than half the game votes for them. Their alignment is revealed, and this ends the 'Day' phase
• Each 'night' phase allows those players with special actions to perform them, and for the Mafia to select someone to kill. 'Night' ends when all players have submitted their actions
• Game continues until there are only Town-Aligned players left, or more than half the game is Mafia-Aligned
• Do not quote anything the moderator (me) says in private to anyone, in or out of this thread!
• 'Days' will last at most 1 week. If there isn't a majority, nobody gets killed and the day ends. 'Nights' will last 24 hours
• Remember, to vote for someone, use this notation: ## Vote Random_Player
• Unvoting is allowed! ## Unvote
• Have fun!

Lshoan Harah presents Diablo 2!

One of the longer-lived PC RPGs out there is Diablo 2. With a thriving community and a rampant online server presence, it's been suggested that I run one here at LshoanHarah!

Connecting to the LH Diablo 2 server requires the following:
* Version 1.09 or higher of Diablo 2 (expansion optional)
* An internet connection
* Following my instructions to tweak the necessary file so you can connect
* Me to finish the server install

Right now the server is up and running, and I've created a few test characters, so I just need to configure external access and test until I'm comfortable all is well.

One note, if you're using the high-resolution patch, you won't be able to connect using it (due to how it loads the mpq files and the checksum thereof). I'll work on fixing that, because I tell you, it's great being able to play at 1920x1080.

Simon Westwood

Simon Westwood of Clan Ventrue seems to have been in the Domain since most people can remember, working behind the scenes to help maintain the power base of his family. He has at times been Whip of his family, briefly Primogen, but seems to be more at home working for the benefit of the Prince and his Primogen. Having been in the Domain for so long, he has wracked up a number of debts, both owed and owing, but has used them with great efficiency.

He speaks often of his sire, and the leadership he gave, and how fortunate he was having such an example to follow. With broodmates having served as Princes and Seneschals in Domains across the world, many would be comfortable resting on the laurels of their family -- not Mr. Westwood, who seems driven to blaze his own path to prestige. He speaks often about his time spent in North America through the decades, and specifically his time spent in Sonoma County, with which he seems to have a great fondness. It is known that he owns a variety of properties around the Domain, though none have been able to exactly numerate how many, or discover what he uses them for.

He seems to be light-hearted, though serious in all things business-related. He especially enjoys news from the kindred world at large, hearing stories from the world abroad. It is known he keeps close ties with Ventrue in neighboring Domains, and frequents socials hosted by Bay Area Ventrue whenever local business allows.

Ties Sought: People who owe or are owed boons, minor or major Domain officers (with ST approval of course), people from neighboring Domains, and those with close ties to the community

Now that we've had the first round of character/Clan meetings, let's put the new Domain of Sonoma County together! If you have a history the STs have approved, let's work together to make a cohesive whole -- we have over a hundred years of Domain history to work within, and all the successes and failures thereof!
